My skin problems have gotten really bad lately, so after giving it a lot of thought, I started getting professional acne care at a dermatology clinic. When I tried applying different products and extracting my acne at home, it actually caused the inflammation to spread or left me with scars, which was really upsetting. After receiving professional care, I found myself wondering why I hadn’t come sooner. During my consultation with the doctor, they carefully assessed my skin type and current acne condition, including the type of lesions and the areas that needed extraction, and created a customized care plan. The treatment proceeded in this order: cleansing ➔ deep cleansing (exfoliation) ➔ extraction ➔ regenerative laser (LED) ➔ soothing mask. The part I was most worried about was the pain from the extraction, but the aesthetician performed it hygienically and precisely using the right techniques, so it was much more bearable than I had expected. What I liked most was that it prevented the wounds caused by forcibly squeezing everything out. My skin was slightly red after the extraction, but the treatment continued with a soothing mask and regenerative care, and by the time it was finished, it felt like the heat in my skin had completely gone down. There was still a little redness immediately after the treatment, but after about 2–3 days, the extracted areas had noticeably calmed down and my skin texture itself had become smoother. The tiny, bumpy whiteheads had also clearly decreased, and overall, my skin tone felt much clearer. I really realized that getting acne treated at a clinic instead of touching it at home is much more worthwhile in terms of both cost and time. I plan to keep visiting regularly to monitor my progress and receive ongoing care from Dr. Eun-hee Kwak at Sugyeong Dermatology!
