At first, I hesitated, but they gave me ample time to think it over, and I ultimately had 8 threads on each side, totaling 16 threads. The anesthetic injection was painful, but the thread insertion wasn't painful, although I did feel a pulling sensation. These are photos taken a week after the procedure, and there is still slight asymmetry on both sides. My nasolabial folds have been softened, though.
