I've been going to this hospital regularly, but this time I had some pain in my chest, so I decided to go in. Just in case, I got a bunch of tests done, and they mentioned it could be esophagitis, so I got some medication for that. It's time for my health check-up anyway, so I just wanted to do a simple test, and luckily it wasn't esophagitis but seemed to be muscular pain. Phew, what a relief! Since it's a hospital I visit often, they really take good care of me, and they don't miss any tests, which makes me feel comfortable. I'm also on blood pressure medication, so I'm able to relax during my visits. The doctor, as well as the nurses, are super kind, so I feel really at ease going there. There are also a lot of other patients, but it's great to have a hospital like this in my neighborhood.

I wanted to see a specialist in gastroenterology rather than just a general practitioner, so I searched and went to one. I visited because I saw good reviews, and indeed, the hospital was very pleasant and the nurse was kind, which was great. Even after taking the medication, I didn't feel significantly better, so I went ahead with the endoscopy to get proper treatment. Today, too, I came with a truly heartfelt wish: “Please give me the strength to receive the acupuncture without pain, and please give me the strength to heal myself through this pain.” I prepare to receive treatment, answering the director’s bright smile and greeting, “Have you been well?” with a smile of my own. “Please, please give me the strength to get through this without pain,” I tell myself, encouraging myself. I relax, clench my teeth, and tell myself, “No, no, this is something that can protect me more than anything else.” ~~~ Before I know it, the shots are already over.

Worried that I might have some serious illness... my steps toward the hospital felt unbearably heavyㅠ After arriving at the hospital and speaking with the doctor, I had my blood pressure checked first—and then, I underwent a few other tests, including an echocardiogram. Thanks to the doctor, who was calm and kind from beginning to end, I was able to get through the tests comfortably without feeling too nervous. (=After the tests, while I was waiting for the doctor's opinion with a worried look on my face... I felt warmed by the nurse's thoughtfulness when she offered me a cup of tea.) The doctor explained my test results carefully and in an easy-to-understand way, so they were easy to understand. Thankfully, the results weren't bad, so I was able to feel greatly relieved.

I visited because I felt something in my breast and wanted to get it checked. As it happened, they told me I could also have a free breast cancer screening, so I had a mammogram as well. Last year, I had a stereotactic breast biopsy because of clustered microcalcifications, and this time they also checked whether there had been any changes since the surgery. They examine me carefully and thoroughly every time I go, which makes me trust them. There were many staff members, but the person who performed my mammogram was especially kind and reassured me by telling me not to worry, which really stayed with me. I get nervous and my heart pounds every time I go, but all the staff, including the doctor, are very kind, so I can receive care with peace of mind.

Whenever I see the doctor, who suffered from a similar illness and made a full recovery, I wonder how he managed to overcome such a difficult ordeal. The lingering pain in his story overlaps with my own, and both admiration and pain make my heart burn. How could I possibly imagine the long years and suffering caused by surgery, or the pain he endured in the prime of his youth!!! I gain strength whenever I see the doctor and receive treatment~~~ Even today, as I received more than sixty incredibly painful acupuncture needles~~~
