Adult dose

Adults: Take 300 mg of St. John's wort 80% methanol dry extract 3 times daily with a small amount of water. Do not chew.

Child dose

Children 12 years of age and older: Take 300 mg of St. John's wort 80% methanol dry extract 3 times daily with a small amount of water. Do not chew.

If you experience symptoms such as skin redness, itching, or hypersensitivity to sunlight while taking this medication, stop immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, it is advisable to halt usage and seek advice if symptoms related to the central nervous system such as fatigue, anxiety, drowsiness, or agitation, or gastrointestinal disturbances occur. In case of overdose, the skin may become sensitive to sunlight, so it is important to reduce sun exposure and use sunscreen for 1-2 weeks following ingestion. This medication can activate enzymes in the liver that break down other drugs, potentially lowering their blood concentration. Therefore, when taking it alongside cardiotonics, bronchodilators, antiarrhythmics, anticonvulsants, and sedative-hypnotics, effects may be diminished, requiring careful monitoring. Furthermore, there may be interactions with oral contraceptives, migraine treatments, certain antidepressants, methadone, lipid-lowering agents, and steroid hormones, necessitating guidance from a professional when used together. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and regimen, without arbitrarily increasing or decreasing the amount. During storage, keep it out of reach of children and do not remove it from its original container. It should be stored away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Finally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic issues should avoid its use.
