About This Treatment

Dental implants are a treatment that restores the ability to chew like natural teeth by placing artificial tooth roots made of titanium into the jawbone at the site of missing teeth and placing tooth-shaped prosthetic restorations on top.

Unlike a bridge, which requires grinding down adjacent teeth to connect them, implants treat only the site of the missing tooth, helping preserve the surrounding healthy teeth. Because they are firmly fixed in the bone, they provide better chewing function and cause less of a foreign-body sensation than dentures.

After precisely assessing the amount of jawbone and the location of the nerves with a CT scan, we plan the implant placement position and depth. If there is insufficient bone, bone grafting may be performed at the same time.

The chief director personally oversees everything from the initial consultation to post-treatment care.
