  One side of my eye's white part looked like it was bruised with blood, completely turned bright red with blood pooling everywhere. There was no pain, but the appearance was so repulsive that I wondered if something serious had happened inside my eye, so I rushed to the ophthalmologist right away. After getting examined at the hospital, the doctor explained that I had a subconjunctival hemorrhage due to tiny blood vessels in the white part of my eye bursting. He said that sneezing hard, rubbing my eyes forcefully, or being overly tired can cause bruising in the eyes, just like on the skin. Fortunately, it didn't affect my vision, and he reassured me that just like a skin bruise, the blood would be absorbed naturally in about 1-2 weeks. This calmed my nerves. I also got a prescription for some eye drops that help relieve eye fatigue and a few eye supplements. Following the doctor's advice, after a few days, the redness gradually faded, and within about two weeks, it returned to its original state. I was so scared because my appearance changed so dramatically, but once I went to the hospital, got examined, and received an explanation, I felt relieved.

  I visited because my eyes felt sore, itchy, and like there was something in them. I took a number ticket on the first floor and moved to the examination floor. There were a lot of patients, so the waiting time was a bit long for the tests. I continued to wait on the consultation floor for the attending doctor. My vision has declined, so I had a simple check-up and eye exam. I was prescribed two types of eye drops for my dry eye syndrome, which isn’t easy to treat. The doctor and the nurses were very kind. I made an appointment for a follow-up in four months. The cost of the two types of eye drops prescribed for four months is really expensive. Lastly, at another ophthalmology clinic, they provide eye compresses and express the sebaceous glands, but here, there isn’t such treatment, which is a bit disappointing. Since it’s a large hospital, I think it would be better if they provided treatment after the consultation as well.
