I came in to see a doctor because my cough and phlegm were pretty bad. The nurses were friendly, and the hospital was clean and comfortable, so I liked it. Since it’s in Jinju, it’s a bit inconvenient to get here, but there’s no ENT clinic nearby, so I have to come here when I’m sick. The doctor was also very kind and took the time to talk with me.

A few days ago, I started feeling like one of my ears was blocked. At first, I thought it would just be temporary, but as time went by, the feeling of pressure continued. It even felt like sounds around me were distant, which made me worried and led me to visit an ENT specialist. After checking in and filling out a questionnaire, I detailed my current symptoms. Besides the ear blockage, they also checked for dizziness and tinnitus, which made me feel like they were considering any related symptoms, not just the ear issue, and it gave me a sense of trust. The waiting time wasn't long, so it felt less burdensome. When I entered the consultation room, the doctor carefully asked when the symptoms started. While checking the inside of my ear, he explained the various possibilities, whether it was a simple inflammation or a pressure issue. He used easy-to-understand language instead of difficult medical terms, which made the consultation comfortable. He particularly mentioned that ear blockage can also relate to stress, fatigue, or sinus issues. I liked that they weren't just looking at the ear problem alone but considering my overall condition as well. Hearing such explanations helped me understand why the symptoms might persist for a while.

I went to Dr. Im Jong-beom’s ENT clinic and had a nasal endoscopy, which revealed a polyp in my left nostril. It’s still small, so it’s okay for now, but they said I might need surgery to remove it if it gets bigger, which made me unnecessarily nervous. I hope it doesn’t grow. I had a bad cough and a lot of phlegm from feeling like I was coming down with a cold, so they suctioned out the phlegm with a machine. When I said my throat hurt, they also did an endoscopy of my throat. They said my throat was inflamed, probably because I had been coughing so often due to the phlegm, and that I would need antibiotics. The doctor explained everything kindly and thoroughly, and the nurses were friendly too. I also got a shot in the butt and was told to drink warm water frequently. I was prescribed a whole bunch of medicine. I guess now that I’m getting older, I don’t recover as easily, so whenever I’m sick, I feel like I have to go to the hospital. It was one of those days when I resented the passage of time.

My ear was itchy, and even after going to several other ENT clinics, it didn’t get better, so I came to this hospital. I got a prescription and have been applying the medication as directed, and it’s gradually getting better. I think I made the right choice switching here. The doctor is also very kind, and the hospital is great. I think I’ll be fine if I continue treatment consistently like this.

I suffer from rhinitis, and the roughly three months in autumn are especially miserable for me. A friend told me that this place prescribes fairly strong medication and that it works, so I went. The wait is long to begin with. Of course, that’s probably because there are a lot of people like me during the fall. The results were just so-so.
