I’d been pushing myself too hard these past few days, and eventually my body just couldn’t keep up and really started to suffer. The moment I opened my eyes this morning, my whole body felt as heavy as a waterlogged lump of cotton, and my throat was scratchy tooㅠ I thought there was no way I’d make it through the day like this, so I went straight to the hospital.. After consulting with the doctor, I decided to get an IV drip. Lying down on the bed in the injection room, I still can’t get used to the little sting when the needle goes in, even though I’ve experienced it many times, but thankfully they secured it carefully with tape, so it wasn’t too uncomfortable. They turned on the heating pad under the bed, and as I lay there under the blanket, I must have relaxed without realizing it because I slowly drifted off to sleep. I slept deeply for about an hour and a half while the medication was going in, and when I woke up, surprisingly, the heavy headache and achy, feverish feeling in my body had eased quite a lot. I guess when your body starts sending you signals, the right answer is not to stubbornly tough it out or rely only on medicine, but to go to the hospital sooner and get an IV..
