Lately, I've been feeling a bit dizzy, so I went to see an ENT specialist! I already have anemia and low blood pressure, but this time it felt different, so I decided to go. The doctor was really kind and explained everything in an easy-to-understand way. He told me that the problem with my balance is called 'benign paroxysmal positional vertigo' because of some crystals in my inner ear. My symptoms included dizziness where my head spins when I either lie down or get up, along with a bit of nausea during those dizzy moments. So, I also had a video nystagmus test done. They used a projector with a moving model to check if my eyes moved well and focused on one spot when I lay down and got up again, as well as how well I could hold my focus while shaking my head. I heard that people with severe vertigo can show symptoms of nystagmus with their pupils bouncing back and forth. It was kind of funny when the doctor and nurse were shaking my head and having me lie down and get up for the test. I think I might have a small stone on the left side, and the doctor suggested we try some medication. They said if I lean forward and tap the back of my head, it might help with the dizziness. So far, I haven't felt dizzy lately, but since everyone's different, if you have similar symptoms, please make sure to visit a doctor for a check-up.
