I am currently visiting the hospital following bilateral cataract surgery. The doctor doesn't say much but seems to take detailed care. The staff explains things well, but choosing the right lenses was the most challenging part.

I went in for a diabetic retinopathy exam because my eyes were often watering, with tears running from both eyes. They showed me a photo of something unexpected inside the lower part of my eyes—some dirty, yellow, oily-looking substance. They said these things could block the tear ducts and cause the tears to overflow. I received laser treatment and had it squeezed out, and I was told I would need treatment three or four times at one-week intervals. When they squeezed it out, there was yellow oil and debris on the cotton swab...

I had severe cataracts and high myopia, but after the cataract surgery, my eyes, which used to be blurry and hard to see, are now clear. I used to see black lines floating in front of me and round lights, but now it feels like the glass has been cleaned perfectly. I'm so happy I don’t need to wear the glasses I've had for about 25 years and can move around easily. As my vision has brightened, I feel hopeful about my future. Thank you so much to the doctor who performed the surgery and the nurse who was so kind and helpful.

*This eye clinic is quite famous in the neighborhood, so there were a lot of patients and some waiting time. However, they checked me in and did a thorough series of eye tests. The consultation with the doctor felt very professional.

☆ I have sensitive eyes, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to get fitted for hard contact lenses, but thanks to the doctor, I'm adjusting well to them.
