Can that amount change after I visit the hospital for a consultation? I have no history of nose surgeries, and my issue is due to allergic rhinitis. I've noticed that my nose doesn't seem to have a bridge or a tip bone, so it looks fine to me, but my allergies get really severe during the changing seasons.

My son is currently 29 years old and has a congenital condition where he lacks bone at the tip of his nose, which makes it look a bit droopy and seems to make breathing uncomfortable for him. During consultations, they say that he might need a septoplasty and that there may be no septum, and that using rib cartilage or donor cartilage might be necessary. I would prefer to use rib cartilage if possible, but I've heard it can be quite painful, which makes me hesitant. Are there any other options available? Or is there a way to find out if there is still any septum remaining?
