Orthognathic implant surgery can be performed while you are undergoing orthodontic treatment; however, since the shape of the oral structure or jaw may change after orthodontic treatment, it may be possible if the treatment is limited to simple tooth alignment. If you are undergoing treatment related to orthognathic surgery or the temporomandibular joint, it is recommended to proceed after completing orthodontic treatment. The surgery is performed through an incision inside the mouth, and you can resume daily activities immediately. Until the stitches inside the mouth are removed, you only need to rinse and disinfect the area carefully. The stitches are removed 7–10 days after surgery, depending on your condition. The price for a chin implant is 880,000 won, including VAT.
