A strong lower body is essential for a vibrant life. However, as we age, lower body muscles gradually decline. A weak lower body can lead to joint problems like the knees and ankles, and can even contribute to various adult diseases. Let's quickly recognize the symptoms of weakened lower body strength and learn how to strengthen them.

 

Here are some symptoms that appear when the lower body muscles are weakened: ▲The buttocks area is loose even when wearing pants pulled up ▲The buttocks hurt when sitting on a hard chair ▲Prostate disease ▲When walking in a straight line, you stumble without realizing it ▲The sphincter muscles are weakened, causing urine leakage ▲Chilling or tingling in the legs ▲No sexual desire for more than a month ▲Erection and ejaculation are difficult, and the amount of semen is reduced ▲Walking distance is reduced to less than one-third, etc.

If you're experiencing any of the above symptoms, you should start working out your lower body now. Squats are a classic lower body exercise. They're the most basic of all lower body exercises and are effective in developing the muscles in your buttocks, thighs, and calves. To perform a squat, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, bend your knees as much as possible, and push your hips back. Your knees should not bend more than 90 degrees, and your knees should not extend beyond your toes.

 

If you're older or have limited strength, making a standard squat difficult, we recommend wide squats, with your legs spread wider than shoulder width. However, be careful not to spread your legs too far, as this can strain your hip joints.

It's also beneficial to incorporate aerobic exercise. Cycling, in particular, is excellent for strengthening lower body muscles. Pedaling a bicycle repeatedly contracts and relaxes lower body muscles, strengthening them.
