Is Ultherapy actually performed under sedation?

My mother is worried because as she passes middle age, her facial elasticity has significantly decreased, the deep cheek area is sagging, and wrinkles have deepened. I am thinking of gifting her a lifting procedure. Instead of trying various treatments, I am considering Ultherapy, which is said to be the most effective, but I am worried about the pain. Some people say it feels a bit sore but bearable, while others have reviews saying they gave up halfway through the procedure, so I am conflicted. I heard it is actually painful enough to require general anesthesia, so I am wondering if anyone has actually received Ultherapy under general anesthesia. If I do receive general anesthesia, what precautions should I take? Please let me know what I should check beforehand to avoid any side effects.
