The dermatology clinic the whole family visits, Seoul Yonsei Ain Dermatology

First, let me introduce Yonsei Ain Dermatology in Seoul. It is a dermatology clinic located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The interior is very neat, and the facilities are clean. It is located right in front of a subway station, making it easy to find and convenient to access via public transportation. It is a clinic that my entire family visits, and we have received laser treatments there. My parents received the treatments before me. The first was a treatment to remove dark spots (lentigo) in middle age! As my parents passed their late 50s and were just entering their 60s, the blemishes on their faces began to deepen. My mother, in particular, had quite a few brown spots on her face. In reality, they were darker than they appear in photos. Honestly, I was quite worried before visiting. I was concerned about whether laser treatments would be suitable for my parents' age group, whether there would be any pain or side effects, and whether they might be recommended ineffective treatments. However, during the consultation, the director explained the blemishes very thoroughly. I thought what was on my mother's face was just simple blemishes, but it turned out to be dark spots! To be honest, I didn't really know what dark spots were, and that was the first time I learned what they were. I found it easy to distinguish between melasma and age spots; you can think of melasma as darker and larger than freckles, while age spots are dark, raised spots that look like warts. There are various lasers for removing melasma, but I received treatment with the Repot laser, which is known to be the most effective. The Repot laser can remove melasma in a single session. I decided on Repot because it appealed to me the most—unlike other lasers that require multiple sessions to gradually eliminate them, Repot can remove them in one go. However, the cost is a bit higher than other lasers accordingly. My mother received treatment to remove a large melasma on her cheekbone. After the laser treatment, you have to wear a Duoderm regenerative bandage for two weeks! She found this a little inconvenient. Since this Duoderm gets a bit dirty over time 🥹, you visit the dermatologist again in two weeks to have it removed. The dark spots come off with the Duoderm, completely eliminating them. As you can see in the Before/After photos, the dark spots on the brown spots have completely disappeared. There was a slight redness when the Duoderm was first removed, but it subsided over time. My aunt, who saw my mom, also got her dark spots removed haha. My aunt's dark spots were darker than my mom's, but they all disappeared after receiving the Repot laser treatment as well. This is the dark spot that came off with my aunt's Duoderm. And my dad too!! Following my mom and aunt, he received laser treatment. My dad's dark spots were larger and darker than theirs, and he also had a lot of skin tags. The doctor didn't just use the same laser for everyone; he explained that the skin tags could be treated cleanly with a regular laser instead of Repot, depending on the skin condition, so my dad received both types of lasers. Underarm hair removal is a really simple procedure among laser treatments, so the treatment time is short and not burdensome at all. Although I didn't have very thick hair, my pores were on the larger side, so the hair roots were noticeable... but after the laser treatment, the so-called "pencil lead" look completely disappeared. The underarm laser I received was Apogee, and since there are so many different types of hair removal lasers, rather than saying one is the best, I think it is fine to choose based on the equipment and price of the clinic you visit. Laser hair removal usually requires 4 to 5 sessions as standard; I received 5, but additional treatments may be necessary depending on your individual hair roots. I didn't get any additional treatments because the results were so good. Since it is hair removal, the effects aren't permanent, so I might need laser treatments again over time, but so far, the results are holding up well. It was the first time for all four of us—my parents, my aunt, and me—to get laser treatments for dark spots and hair removal, and we were very satisfied because the spots were removed much more cleanly than expected. I especially loved that the results for hair removal are visible right away. The price is affordable, and it only stings a little during the first one or two sessions; after that, there is no pain, so I highly recommend it. They say the RePot laser has more advantages than disadvantages, except for the need to wear a DuoDerm bandage for two weeks. My parents also look much cleaner after the treatment as their blemishes have cleared up. What I liked most was that the director didn't just perform the procedure; they explained the process and tailored it to our skin condition. It wasn't a factory-style treatment where everyone was treated the same way! Since my whole family was satisfied with this clinic, I think I can truly call it the "Dermatology Clinic of a Lifetime"!
