[Benign skin condition: from the onset of milia to treatment and recurrence, 5 key points] Share this.
My husband developed milia, which is a positive skin condition.
Just looking at it was disgusting, and touching it made it feel bumpy and creepy, giving me chills.
At first, there were only a few milia, which is a benign skin condition, but one day, it increased to dozens.
This is a stage where the patient has received laser treatment and therapy, but the condition has recurred, requiring additional surgery.
I will share my five experiences from causes and onset to recurrence.
✅ Cause and onset
Most of it is said to occur naturally.
Epidermal inclusion cysts are benign skin conditions caused by the accumulation of waste products such as sebum and keratin inside the skin.
✅ Symptoms
Benign skin lesion milia is similar to whiteheads but is a different condition.
Numerous small, bumpy circles have appeared around the eyes and on the neck, totaling dozens, and they are sebaceous cysts, a benign skin condition that cannot be counted.
The number increased as I kept postponing my dermatology visit.
✅ Removal method
If you are certain that the benign skin condition is a milium, you should never squeeze it with your hands.
They said that if stitched incorrectly, scars or skin infections could occur.
Also, do not squeeze or burst benign skin lesions like milia, as they may spread.
The removal procedure was done at Daldan Dental Clinic's dermatology department.
He removed dozens of benign skin lesions called milia with laser treatment, but his timid husband thought it was dangerous to treat the eyelids and decided not to proceed, so he left it untreated.
The pain was tolerable when I applied anesthetic ointment and performed the laser removal procedure.
I kept the area dry and applied the prescribed antibiotic ointment diligently to prevent scarring.
It has been 1 to 2 weeks, and the scar has disappeared, leaving it clean.
Avoid alcohol after removal, as it may cause wound healing issues or inflammation.
Fortunately, my husband is not a smoker, so no worries.
✅Preventive measures
Using the pore-specific foam cleanser "Vishonda" at the pharmacy or online can help prevent the recurrence of mild skin conditions like milia to some extent.
He refused, saying he only applies skincare and is a man, so he doesn't use it.
✅ Recurrence
I thought that benign skin conditions would end with the Hazer removal procedure, but over the years, a few sebaceous hyperplasia lesions appeared on my neck, and although fewer than before the laser treatment, many more have developed again.
Did I relapse because I ignored the preventive measures and only applied skin care? I regret not recommending a more active use of foam cleansing.
Benign skin condition milia has a very high recurrence rate.
I guess I have to take some time to go remove it.
