Dad's cataracts

Dad needs to undergo cataract surgery.

However, some ophthalmology clinics say it should be done as a regular surgery.

Other ophthalmologists say it's better to use multifocal lenses for this.

But the ophthalmology department that discussed general surgery said that even with multifocal lenses, they don't see clearly and sharply.

So, Dad says he will have a regular surgery, but if the multifocal lens doesn't provide clear vision, then a standard one would be better, right?
