Concern about age spot laser treatment

I went for a dermatology consultation yesterday. They mentioned that I have black mushrooms and dark spots, and suggested doing laser treatment first, followed by toning or other procedures. They said a scab would form in about two weeks, and since Chuseok is coming up, I decided to come back after two weeks. Has anyone experienced this? I'm worried that the scab might leave scars or cause other issues.
