LASIK inquiry

As I get older, my eyesight is gradually worsening. Wearing glasses is inconvenient and difficult. So I thought about having LASIK surgery, but I wonder if there is an age limit or if middle-aged people can have LASIK.

Will my vision be preserved for a long time if I undergo surgery?
