Can facial asymmetry worsen after getting a lift?
I am considering getting a lifting procedure due to facial sagging, but I have one concern, so I would like to ask a question. My face has never been perfectly symmetrical, and if you look closely, the shape of my jawline and cheeks is slightly different on the left and right sides. Could this asymmetry actually become more noticeable after receiving the lift?
I understand that lifting tightens the skin and refines the facial contours, but I am concerned that if the degree of sagging differs between the left and right sides, the results might vary even if the procedure is performed in the same way. In particular, since one cheek tends to appear slightly lower than the other, I am wondering if I should have both sides treated identically, or if it is possible to treat the side with more severe sagging differently.
If anyone has received a facelift while having facial asymmetry, I would appreciate it if you could share your experience. I am also curious if there are cases where the asymmetry became more noticeable after the procedure, even though it wasn't a major concern beforehand. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know if it is advisable to mention the asymmetry during the consultation and request a specific design.
