Recently, I had my armpit hair removed. At that time, the dermatology clinic was running a special event for armpit and perineum hair removal as a set. Since I could do both together, there was no reason not to do it! So I decided to go ahead. I received the treatment with the GentleMax Laser, and since the GentleMax Laser is quite effective, I will leave a review.
The reason for receiving laser treatment
I am a woman, but I had quite dark hair in the philtrum area. I think there are probably others who can relate to this haha
Actually, I originally went to the dermatology clinic just to get my armpil hair removed... but when they offered a special deal for the chin area, I thought, this is it.
I usually tidy up my eyebrows with a razor, but I thought managing them with laser treatment would be more convenient.
Before hair removal
It's a photo I took a while ago.
The hair around the philtrum, especially near the mouth, really stands out, doesn't it? LOL
It was quite hairy and thick, so it was bothersome.
Finally, I am entering the hair removal room.
First session of hair removal
Since it's only the first session, the gentle max laser effect hasn't appeared yet. It just feels like a little bit of improvement.
Second round
Starting from the second session, the effects of Gentle Max Laser began to show gradually! It felt like the fine hairs were disappearing quickly.
3rd session
That day was a day when my skin condition wasn't very good, and the photo was taken right after the laser treatment, so it's a bit red, but still, my hair removal turned out very clean, right? After three sessions, the effects of the GentleMax Laser started to become clearly visible.
4th session
Compared to the beginning, the hair has almost disappeared now. The GentleMax Laser is very effective, isn't it?
Management method
This is a ointment I received from the dermatology clinic. I don't need to apply it every time, only when I experience redness or itching. I didn't have any itching, and when I first used it and during the third application, I noticed some redness, so I used it then, but I hardly used it afterward. The ointment quantity is quite large, so I think I can keep it and use it as needed.
Otherwise, it is important to avoid skin irritants such as saunas and jjimjilbangs, and to refrain from scratching or touching excessively.
Review
I am scheduled to receive a total of five laser treatments, and I am now on the last session. I heard that there are various types of lasers for philtrum hair removal, and among them, the GentleMax Laser is said to be very effective, so I decided to go with this one. The biggest advantage of the GentleMax Laser is that it is more delicate and powerful compared to other lasers, and it can effectively remove even the fine and thin hair on women's philtrum, which is usually more difficult to target than men's. Additionally, it is said that noticeable results can be seen after just a few sessions. Therefore, the GentleMax Laser is mainly used for philtrum hair removal because of its excellent effectiveness.
People with thick and coarse hair are said to need more than five sessions with a stronger laser, but fortunately, I was told that five sessions will be enough for me!
According to the doctor, the effects of the Gentle Max Laser are not only well observed in the philtrum area but also show immediate results on the armpits, arms, and legs, so it is widely used on other parts of the body as well.
For reference, the laser hair removal cycle for the upper lip is about once a month. The number of sessions varies by person, but usually around 5 sessions, and up to 10 sessions in some cases. The pain is minimal, and each session takes about a minute, so it's not burdensome! I hope my review is helpful for those who are interested in upper lip hair removal.
CommentsRepeating lifting procedures does not mean your skin becomes accustomed to the treatment, causing the effects to diminish or leading to tolerance.
The impact on the skin can vary depending on the type of procedure, the interval between treatments, and the energy intensity.
It is advisable to decide on the next treatment after assessing the effectiveness of previous treatments, current skin elasticity, fat volume, and the presence of cheek hollowing.
Rather than receiving treatments indiscriminately, it is important to maintain appropriate intervals tailored to your skin condition.
CommentsI also looked for lifting creams before getting a consultation. I could definitely feel the hydration when I applied them, but I didn't really notice any significant improvement in my pores. However, since consistently moisturizing and taking good care of your skin's condition through sun protection helps, I think it would be a good idea to start with home care rather than expecting dramatic results.
CommentsI think this is a perfectly understandable concern you might have while on your diet.
When you hit a plateau, slightly adjusting your usual diet or adding light strength training to boost your basal metabolic rate are good solutions.
I hope you don't give up and continue with your healthy routine!
CommentsThere is absolutely no need to undergo multiple combination procedures right from the start.
If you are concerned about a sagging jawline or a double chin, try ultrasound first; if your goal is to reduce fine lines on the skin surface and improve skin firmness, try radiofrequency equipment alone.
I recommend visiting at least two or three clinics to find one that offers a single procedure without unnecessary treatments.
Please compare thoroughly, and I hope you make a decision you are satisfied with.
CommentsTune Face allows for precise control of energy depth, making it suitable even for those with less cheek volume.
Its major advantage is that it delivers high-frequency elasticity to the necessary areas while minimizing concerns about cheek hollowing.
Satisfaction is high as you can expect both overall skin texture improvement and tightening effects.
I hope this helps with your decision regarding the procedure.
CommentsI see you were very curious about the downtime for the Onda Lifting procedure due to concerns regarding jawline elasticity.
While individual differences exist, the Onda Lifting generally causes minimal bruising or swelling, so only slight redness usually occurs on the day of the procedure.
You can apply makeup and resume your daily activities without any issues the following day, so please feel free to schedule a consultation.
CommentsIf it were me, I would start by getting the procedure that is your top priority. If your biggest concern is sagging facial contours, I would recommend Ultherapy; if you are more concerned about dull skin, fine lines, or loss of elasticity, I would suggest consulting about Thermage first. Then, observe the results for about two months and proceed with treatments to address any remaining issues. Rather than getting both procedures at once, I think it is better to try one first, taking your skin condition into account!
