My face, near or below my left ear... I felt something was off on only one side starting from the morning. By the afternoon, there was some pain, even a pulling sensation. I glanced in the mirror and was shocked to see it was swollen, so I went to an ENT clinic for a check-up. They said it seemed like only one salivary gland was swollen, and that if both sides were swollen, it would be mumps. I wonder what mumps is at this age, and why my salivary glands are getting blocked. He even told me to ask if I had any questions during the consultation... I was prescribed antibiotics for a week, and while it did get better after taking them, it didn't completely subside, so I was prescribed another week's worth. However, taking antibiotics for so long caused diarrhea, so he switched me to an antibiotic with a different active ingredient.
