A review of a child's shoulder fracture treatment at Park Cheon-su Orthopedic Surgery in Jeonju.

My son slipped and hit his shoulder badly while stepping on the blanket at home. He could barely raise his arm and was complaining of severe pain, so I rushed to his hospital. Dr. Park Cheon-su first reassured my son and carefully checked his shoulder movement and the area of pain. He then immediately ordered an X-ray and was told it was a fractured shoulder with a crack in the shoulder.
Since my condition didn't require surgery, I received shoulder brace treatment, anti-inflammatory painkillers, and instructions on how to apply cold compresses to reduce swelling. The brace was carefully fitted to my child's body type and detailed instructions on the angles at which it should not be moved made it easy to manage at home. Above all, I was impressed by the fact that they prioritized conservative treatment based on the patient's condition, avoiding overtreatment.
At first, I felt pain, but it eased significantly with medication, and after about two weeks, I was able to move my arm a little. After six weeks of follow-up, I was relieved to hear that my bone was healing well.
