I've been feeling a bit unwell for the past few days, perhaps because of the winter cold wave that started in early January, or because I overworked myself with all the work I had to do in the new year. I held it in because I didn't have time to go to the hospital, but when I woke up this morning, my throat was incredibly sore. So, after work, I went to the nearest hospital. It's a family medicine clinic, but it primarily focuses on internal medicine and otolaryngology. Despite being a local clinic, they have a wide range of medical equipment, so I ran a few tests. They said there was nothing unusual, but my throat was very swollen from a cold. I've heard that hospitals have become more competitive recently, leading to increased friendliness, but this hospital's staff was surprisingly friendly. They even gave me shots if my cold was severe, but I told them I could just take medicine, and they didn't overtreat me. From now on, I'll only use this nearby and friendly hospital.
