Has anyone received gum treatment at a dental clinic?

Lately, I have been bleeding from my gums a lot more often when brushing my teeth.

At first, I thought it was because I was using the toothbrush too hard, but
Even if I wipe it carefully for a few days, it's still the same.

Usually, I barely felt any pain, so I just let it slide.
I see blood every time I brush my teeth, so I'm starting to think I should go to the dentist.

Is there a case where scaling is sufficient?
Or I might need to get a separate gum examination.

I keep putting it off because I'm afraid that if I go to the dentist, they might recommend gum treatment as well.
