Question) Do I really need to take the deworming medication?

I remember eating it when I was young because my mom used to buy it for me, but sometimes when I go to the pharmacy, I see the phrase "Take an antiparasitic" displayed at the front, along with the medications.
I once bought as many as my family members, as if possessed... but everyone said they wouldn't eat it, haha.
I left it as it was. Even these days, I always take deworming medication.
Is it necessary? Some products are taken twice a year in spring and fall, while others are finished with just one dose...
