Why does the skin inside my ear keep peeling?
As the title suggests, there is a phenomenon where the skin inside the ear peels off. White keratin is coming off.
Both ears are the same. The right is somewhat better than the left, but it's the same...
At first, there were some areas where the dead skin was peeling off, but it wasn't severe like it is now, so I didn't pay much attention to it. However, at some point, the condition suddenly worsened drasticallyㅠㅠ
Especially right after showering. When I apply lotion and cream, it seems fine at first, but after some time, it starts to peel and flake off in white patches.
It looks a bit like eczema, and when I touch it with my hand, it's bumpy and rough. It itches so badly that after scratching, it also hurts.
For your reference, my skin is not dry but rather oily, and I used to have seborrheic dermatitis, but it has improved now. So I don't really understand why my ears are like thatㅠㅠㅠ
At first, I used to pick at the dead skin with my hands lol, but the more I did, the worse it seemed to get, so now I don't touch it with my hands 🥲
I had to go to the dermatology for another reason and asked about this, and they said it's because of dryness. Should I be prescribed Esrovan ointment? That's what they suggested. I didn't hear a clear diagnosis or why it's happening, though. Do I need to see an ENT specialist?
But you know people with skin conditions... Everyone has an Esrovan, right? Haha.
They say applying this is useless, but I heard that consistent application will be effective... It's inside the ear and doesn't look good aesthetically, so it's very stressfulㅠ
Has anyone else experienced this symptom like me?
How was the treatment method? If you have any effective ointments, I would appreciate it if you could recommend them.ㅠㅠ🙏
