I am a patient who had a stent placement for myocardial infarction. It has been about 3 years since the stent placement, but I occasionally feel a tingling sensation in my heart. When I do a routine test, nothing abnormal comes up, but I keep feeling a tingling sensation. Should I inject a contrast agent and do the test? If I inject a contrast agent, it will put a strain on my kidneys. Do I really need to do it? Please advise.
