Question) Why do my nails frequently crack and break?

My nails tend to crack and break easily.
I think I do it more often than others.
Sometimes, when my nails are cracked outside, I have no nail clippers and no way to fix it, so I forcefully pull on my nails.
Is it because of a lack of nutrients in the nails?
Or is it due to some specific nutritional imbalance?
The nails themselves have vertical ridges and are somewhat uneven.
I'm curious why this is considered a warning sign for health in such cases.
