(Question) Should I suspect gout if I have pain on the top of my foot?

My mother is suffering from gout.
You mentioned that you have pain in the toe tip area.
I usually wear sneakers.
Should I suspect gout because my instep has been hurting lately?
It is a cold day, shivering weather.
