I didn't realize how frightening dry eye syndrome could be - I am painfully realizing the importance of eyes.
Suddenly, I experienced eye pain a month ago.
Especially, my left eye feels heavy like the eyelid is about to close. I tried using leftover eye drops and artificial tears at home, but later my vision became uncomfortable, so I eventually went to the ophthalmologist. After various tests, I was diagnosed with dry eye syndrome.
I received high-frequency massage and IPL laser treatments about once a week.
I have properly applied the two eye drops, the eye ointment (used before sleep), and the artificial tears as prescribed.
The left eye was very severe, so local anesthesia was administered and surgery was performed.
My right eye has improved to the point where I no longer feel any discomfort, but I still feel a foreign body sensation inside my left eye, and my eyelid also feels a bit heavy. I have undergone a total of three laser treatments and two fat removal treatments, but I can't shake the feeling that the improvement is too slow. I need to visit the clinic next Tuesday or Thursday, but I am considering whether I should go to another hospital.
A poster about dry eye syndrome is also the first thing displayed at the hospital entrance.
Please share if you have any experience receiving treatment for dry eye syndrome.
I underestimated dry eye syndrome and I'm really paying the price.
I am deeply realizing the preciousness of the eyes.
