Alopecia areata, once it occurs, keeps happening. What should I do?

Recently, my husband has been experiencing a lot of work at home and stress at the company, and he has developed alopecia areata.
I once experienced hair loss, but at that time it was at the back of my head, so I didn't realize I was losing hair.
I found out when I went to the hair salon for a haircut and the hairstylist director told me.
But this time, it appeared at the front, so I saw it while washing and drying my hair.
Is it true that once you get alopecia areata, it keeps recurring?
What should I do if I develop alopecia areata?
