[Question] Unopened products past their expiration date. Is it safe for skin health to use them?
I have some cosmetics I bought in the past. There are items I purchased during a sale with a buy-one-get-one-free offer. Usually, the expiration date for cosmetics is about 2 years, or up to 3 years if it's longer.
Some products are large in volume and take a long time to use, right? Since this is a buy-one-get-one-free offer, I saw a new product long after using the first one, but it had already passed the expiration date or was close to expiring.
Usually, people use products before the expiration date, and even after the expiration date has passed, they continue to use them. But in such cases, what should be done...
The items I have are unopened new products... For cosmetics, they say to use them within the expiration date after opening. If they are unopened, is it okay to use them after the expiration date?
Or is it because the expiration date has passed and it should not be used?
I'm wondering if it's okay for skin health to use this.
The products include exfoliating cream, sunscreen, and cleansing cream. I'm worried that using them on my skin might cause trouble or breakouts, and since they are unopened and sealed, I wonder if they're okay to use.
I would use it if it were a tint, but since it's a skincare product, I'm worried about how it might affect skin health, so I'm asking. Does anyone know?
This product is a new item nearing its expiration date.
