What disease causes shortness of breath and abnormal heartbeat?

Since three months ago, if I don't exert myself, it's very hard to breathe and I have a severe headache. And when it's severe, my nails turn blue... It feels like my heart is tightening and hurting a lot. A few days ago, I checked my heart rate with a friend's watch, and it showed 126 bpm, and my pulse was irregular and beating strangely. My eyes are bloodshot, possibly due to increased eye pressure... My hands and feet are numb and cold... What is this? I'm planning to go to the hospital, but... is this a serious illness?
