Earlier this year, my family had a skin tag removed, and I would like to share the circumstances of how it was discovered, the treatment process, and the current progress.
If anyone is interested in treatment for skin tags, please refer to this. Haha.
Our family has had skin tags on our neck for several years, and I thought they would disappear, but instead they kept increasing.
At some point, it became so noticeable that I finally went to a local hospital for a consultation around January of this year.
So, I went to a local hospital and was told I had skin tags, so I wanted to get treatment. When I inquired about the cost, I found out they charge per lesion. It was a bit expensive, so I visited another hospital where they based the cost on removing the entire throat, which was cheaper, so I started treatment there.
The treatment method involves removing the skin tags as if scraping them off with a laser. Since there were so many skin tags, I initially tried to remove them one side at a time, but when I did it all at once, even after applying anesthetic ointment, the number was so large that it caused significant pain, and I remember how difficult it was.
Also, attaching the regenerative tape around the entire neck made it difficult to move the neck, and since the tape needed to be replaced every other day, it was inconvenient in daily life.
Still, since it's winter, I mainly wore turtlenecks to cover up, but now that I think about it, I should have either treated the skin tags by dividing them by area or gone early to get it done in advance. Haha.
It has been about 7-8 months now, and the area where the skin tag was is so clean that I can't even tell where it was.
There used to be a bumpy, palpable lump on my hand, but now it's very smooth and soft, and I like it lol
I hope this can be of some help to those who have been concerned about skin tags.
