Occasional severe headaches at the back of the right head.

For several years now, periodically the back right side of the head
I sometimes experience severe headaches in the area shown in the photo below.
There has been no improvement, so I am feeling quite anxious.
Should I get an MRI or not?
Should I seek neurological treatment?
Please share your advice if you have experience.
