Is there no treatment method for severe athlete's foot?

My athlete's foot is severe, causing itching, redness, and peeling skin, so I am very worried about it. I went to a nearby hospital for treatment, and it got better. However, this doesn't last long, and it recurs over time. When it recurs, it becomes more severe, and I have to take medication for a long time. The dermatological medication is strong and makes me quite anxious. So I keep going to the hospital, get better, and then go again, repeating the cycle. Therefore, I try to prevent athlete's foot as much as possible, but the recurring athlete's foot remains a concern.
