Will my scalp itch when my white hair starts to grow?

They say that when gray hair starts to grow, the scalp itches.

My head has been unbearably itchy these past few days.

I couldn't resist scratching because of the itch, and now my head feels numb.

The problem is that it itches regardless of time or place, so it’s very bothersome and stressful.
