Eating vegetables first before meals - Blood sugar management method

My blood sugar management method is to eat vegetables first before meals! I eat about three pieces of vegetables I have at home before my meal! Cabbage, napa cabbage, lettuce, carrots, bell peppers—regardless of the type—eat slowly and chew thoroughly, then wait about five minutes before eating.
It actually results in a smaller increase in blood sugar. Also, it is said to be better to follow the meal order of vegetables, protein, then carbohydrates.
