Sometimes my heart feels like it's stabbing.

Since when... I think it's been about six months. When I lift my left hand above my head, it's not always like that, but sometimes I feel a surprisingly sharp, tingling sensation. I'm a bit worried about whether this symptom is temporary... or if I need to see a doctor. I hope it's nothing serious. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
