There are vertical lines on my nails and grooves on the surface. Is this related to diabetes?

I've had strange lines on my nails and the surface has been bumpy for a while now, so I didn't think much about it, thinking it would be okay once new nails grow in. But even now, several months later, my nails are still growing in vertical lines, like grooves.

I thought it was just temporary, but even when new nails grew in, the line remained, so I thought maybe I was lacking nutrition, so I filed it down and applied nutrients, but it didn't get any better.😞

✔️People around me say that vertical lines on fingernails are caused by diabetes and that I should go to the hospital right away.

I wonder if vertical lines on fingernails are related to diabetes.

✔️I think it happens when you lack protein, vitamins, and zinc.  I applied nutrients to my nails and took zinc separately.  I'm a little worried because I heard it's related to diabetes😅
