If I get the flu, do I have to take special medicine?
I've been hearing a lot about the flu recently, and I have a question. I understand that people with the flu are often prescribed specialized antiviral medications like Tamiflu or Celtaflu, but I'm not sure if I really need to take them.
Some people around me say that if your symptoms are mild, it's okay to just treat them with symptomatic medication, like cold medicine. Conversely, some say that if you don't take specialized medication early, the symptoms can last longer or worsen. This is confusing. I'm particularly curious about whether it's worth taking specialized medication, even if your fever or body aches aren't severe.
Does anyone know if there are specific cases where it's necessary to take specific medication for the flu, and cases where it's not necessary? If you have any experience or information, please share it.
