[Question] Is borderline intellectual disability difficult to treat?

A friend of mine said she had borderline intellectual disability. This kind of disorder was unfamiliar to me, so I heard about it through someone else. It was heartbreaking, considering she's still so young, in her 20s.
It looks normal, but it seems like the symptoms are appearing in daily life.
Are these disabilities incurable?
These days, it seems like there are a lot of sick people around me.
