BESTI'm taking smoking cessation medication but I'm still smoking. Is that okay?

I've been taking nicopion for two days, as prescribed. Today is supposed to be the third day, but I haven't taken it yet. I haven't noticed a significant decrease in smoking in the past two days. However, I do feel a slight pressure in my heart, and my tongue feels bitter, and the medication seems to be having some effect. They say quitting smoking requires 70% willpower, but I'm so dependent on it right now that I can't. Is it okay to continue smoking while taking the medication?
