I have shingles scars. How should I care for them?
It's been quite some time since I recovered from a severe case of shingles.
The problem after it healed is that I was so stressed out because of the scars that were left behind.
The blisters gradually subsided and disappeared completely in some places.
Some were left with brown discoloration and some were left with unsightly scars.
At first, I thought it was just a darkening of the color, but it didn't return to normal over time, and instead, the skin became slightly sunken, as if it were sunken.
The scar is much more noticeable in real life than in the photo, and everyone who sees it asks about it.
It's also annoying to have pigmentation left on the back or sides, but that's because those locations aren't very visible.
I really care about my face.
In particular, I sometimes get pimples around my eyebrows, and I think it's because the surface of my skin is damaged, so I get more pimples.
For now, I bought and am applying Dermatix gel ointment, which is said to be good for scars, but it is neither getting better nor worse, and there is no change.
The ointment was quite expensive even though it was a small amount, so I feel like I wasted my money...
When I had shingles, I was in so much pain because of the muscle pain and chills that I was only focused on getting better, so I didn't even think that I would have a scar on my skinㅜㅜ
Are there any people who, like me, have scars left after shingles?
Does it get better naturally over time?
Should I wait any longer? It's already been several months.
How should I manage it?
These days, there are many other regenerative and scar ointments besides Dermatix. I'd like to know which ones are specifically effective.
