The spots on my skin won't go away. I'm worried.

A spot has appeared on my skin and won't go away. I've had this skin issue for about a month now. But it seems strange that this spot won't go away, so I've been keeping a close eye on it. It hasn't gotten any bigger than it was a month ago, but it's still there. To monitor its continued growth, I take a picture of it with my phone and keep its size in mind. Maybe it's because the weather is hot, but the area around it is itchy. So, I'm starting to worry about whether this is some kind of skin condition. In the past, these spots would disappear quickly with medication or topical treatment, but as I've gotten older, these spots keep coming back. I'm really worried about whether I should go to the hospital or what to do.
