After being diagnosed with laryngitis, I ate spicy food and my throat burned...

A few days ago (Monday), I had very severe throat discomfort and difficulty breathing, so I went to the hospital and was told I had laryngitis.
I'm glad I took my medication properly; my symptoms have improved a lot in just a few days, and I almost have no difficulty breathing or foreign body sensation!
However, the problem is... when I eat spicy, salty, or sweet and stimulating foods, I feel a burning sensation in my throat.
It's like a slight burning sensation.
Is it because I am recovering from laryngitis? Or am I worried that it was a different illness from the beginning?
Please let me know if anyone has had a similar experience. I'm wondering if this is just a passing symptom or if I should go back to the hospital.
