I'm worried about dry eye syndrome.
I usually go to bed after looking at my phone until 1 or 2 a.m.
About three days ago, every evening I feel like something is getting into my eyes.
Perhaps because of that, I find myself rubbing my eyes every day at that time.
I'm worried because I heard it's not good to rub your eyes.
When applying artificial tears, it stings a little, but it's somewhat okay afterward.
Is this dry eye syndrome? Should I visit an ophthalmologist?
The inner part of the eye (the area where I did not perform the eyelid fold surgery) mainly feels stinging, similar to the sensation when something like soap gets into the eye.
The stinging sensation is less than that of soap.
I lived my whole life without knowing what dry eye syndrome is, but can eye irritation be a symptom of dry eye syndrome?
Are there any other treatment options besides using artificial tears for dry eye syndrome?
And some people say that frequently applying artificial tears actually makes your natural tears produce less. Is that true?
Lately, I've been having a lot of worries...ㅜㅜ
