Question - Mask used when experiencing severe fine dust

During winter, there is almost no fine dust, so even though it's cold, the air is good, and I had no worries while taking walks. Of course, since it's cold, I always wore a mask when going out. But now that spring has arrived, temperatures are rising, and with yellow dust and fine dust, wearing a mask has become essential again.
I'm looking into mask purchases these days. I recall that during the previous COVID-19 pandemic, certain masks were considered effective. Are disposable masks significantly less effective at blocking fine dust? Which masks would be better?
