Diffuse hair loss is a type characterized by thinning and easy shedding of hair around the crown parting. The parting gradually widens, exposing the scalp. It can be caused by various factors such as stress, pregnancy, and nutritional imbalances, making it difficult to identify the exact cause.

Diffuse hair loss requires identifying and addressing the main cause as a priority. Afterwards, treatment typically involves the use of cyproterone or minoxidil.

Alopecia areata is a condition where hair falls out in round patches measuring 1 to 5 cm in diameter, occurring in areas such as the crown, back of the head, or sides of the head, without a fixed location.

 

It often occurs due to abnormalities in the immune system. 

 

When the immune system malfunctions, our body's immune system recognizes the hair follicles on the scalp as antigens and triggers an immune response, preventing hair from growing.

The common treatment for alopecia areata is receiving steroid injections that suppress abnormal immune responses, allowing hair to grow normally.

If circular hair loss occurs in multiple areas, treatments such as immunotherapy or phototherapy that suppress inflammation around the hair follicles are effective.
